About Sodalite
Sodalite is a sodium aluminium silicate — blue with white calcite veining, often mistaken for lapis lazuli but containing no pyrite. It is the rationalist's crystal: it sharpens the mind without dulling the heart.
Discovered relatively recently (1811) but used in Egyptian tombs predating the European identification. Sacred in Canadian and Brazilian traditions where the deposits are largest.

How to Identify a Real Sodalite
Common fakes: Dyed glass, plastic, or less valuable stones passed off as the real thing.
How to tell the real thing: Real crystals are heavier than glass or plastic of the same size, stay cool to the touch, and usually show natural inclusions or colour zoning — too-uniform colour is a warning sign. Buy from trusted sources and ask the seller about origin and treatment.
