About Blue Turquoise
Turquoise is copper and aluminium phosphate — one of the oldest crystals in human ritual, mined in the Sinai for the Pharaohs, in Persia for the Shahs, and by Tibetan and Navajo traditions for millennia. True natural turquoise is rare; most on the market is stabilised or reconstructed.
Sacred to Hathor in Egypt, to the Persian word for 'pul' (victory), and worn by Apache medicine people. In India it is associated with Jupiter and worn for wisdom and luck in speech.

How to Identify a Real Blue Turquoise
Common fakes: Dyed howlite (most common), reconstituted turquoise (powder + resin), stabilised with plastic, plastic beads.
How to tell the real thing: Real turquoise shows a complex matrix (black, brown, or gold veining) that is visually three-dimensional. Dyed howlite has cracks that look painted — the dye pools unevenly. Real turquoise is cool and heavy. If the price is very low, it’s almost certainly not real turquoise.
