About Serpentine

Serpentine is a magnesium silicate mineral — its name from the snake-like patterns on polished specimens. Its colour ranges from olive to emerald, and its ancient reputation is as the kundalini crystal: the quiet awakener of the body's inner fire.

Used in Indian kundalini yoga traditions and in Taoist inner alchemy. The soft varieties were carved into Chinese ritual objects for thousands of years.

How to Identify a Real Serpentine

Common fakes: Dyed glass, plastic, or less valuable stones passed off as the real thing.

How to tell the real thing: Real crystals are heavier than glass or plastic of the same size, stay cool to the touch, and usually show natural inclusions or colour zoning — too-uniform colour is a warning sign. Buy from trusted sources and ask the seller about origin and treatment.

At Agni Crystals, every piece is hand-inspected for authenticity before it’s listed. If you’re unsure about a crystal you bought elsewhere, send us a photo on WhatsApp — we’ll tell you honestly.
