About Rhodonite

Rhodonite is manganese silicate — pink with characteristic black veining. The black is manganese oxide, the pink is manganese plus calcium. This duality is the crystal's gift: it holds both the wound and the willingness to heal.

The national crystal of Russia, found in the Urals. Used traditionally for burn treatments in folk medicine, and for grief counselling in the healing tradition.

How to Identify a Real Rhodonite

Common fakes: Dyed glass, plastic, or less valuable stones passed off as the real thing.

How to tell the real thing: Real crystals are heavier than glass or plastic of the same size, stay cool to the touch, and usually show natural inclusions or colour zoning — too-uniform colour is a warning sign. Buy from trusted sources and ask the seller about origin and treatment.
