About Moss Agate
Moss agate isn't actually banded agate — it's chalcedony with mineral inclusions (usually hornblende or chlorite) that look like moss suspended in clear glass. Each piece is a small landscape, a garden held in crystal.
Midwives wore it as a birthing crystal. Gardeners buried chips in their plots for abundance. Called the 'nature crystal' for its obvious kinship with the green world.

How to tell the real thing: Real crystals are heavier than glass or plastic of the same size, stay cool to the touch, and usually show natural inclusions or colour zoning — too-uniform colour is a warning sign. Buy from trusted sources and ask the seller about origin and treatment.
