Pyrite
“Fool’s gold, wise crystal. Strengthens the will, protects the worker, and attracts prosperity through right action.”

About Pyrite
Pyrite is iron disulphide — the same material as golden pyrite, simply grown in different crystal habits. When it grows in rough cubes and botryoidal clusters rather than smooth beads, it becomes a grounding crystal of the workplace as much as a prosperity crystal.
Burned as a lamp oil in the ancient world (pyrite means 'of fire' in Greek). Inca mirrors. European alchemist's sulphur.
Healing Properties
Fool’s gold, wise crystal. Strengthens the will, protects the worker, and attracts prosperity through right action.
Chakra & Element
Pyrite works primarily with the Solar Plexus chakra and the Fire / Earth element. This is why it tends to appear in healing work around solar plexus-related concerns — the frequency of the crystal resonates with this energy centre.
How to use

How to Care for Pyrite
Cleanse with sage or palo santo smoke only. Avoid water and chemicals.
A fuller guide to cleansing, charging, programming, and retiring your crystals is on the care page.
How to Identify a Real Pyrite
Common fakes: Marcasite (related mineral but flakier), plated plastic.
How to tell the real thing: Real pyrite is notably heavy — heavier than almost anything else its size. It shows cubic or pyritohedral crystal faces. The metallic lustre is brassy, not silvery. If it’s light in the hand, it’s not pyrite.
At Agni Crystals, every piece is hand-inspected for authenticity before it’s listed. If you’re unsure about a crystal you bought elsewhere, send us a photo on WhatsApp — we’ll tell you honestly.
