Navagraha Ratna — Traditional Gem-to-Planet Mapping

The classical Vedic gem prescribed for each of the 9 planets — and our affordable crystal alternatives.

Vedic Jyotish prescribes nine traditional gemstones (Navaratna), one for each Navagraha. These are the precious stones — Ruby, Pearl, Coral, Emerald, Yellow Sapphire, Diamond, Blue Sapphire, Hessonite, Cat's Eye. They are powerful but expensive. Below, both — the traditional ratna and the affordable crystal alternative we stock.

Why crystal alternatives work

The Navaratna gems and their crystal alternatives share the same colour frequency, mineral family in many cases, and same astrological correspondences. Wearing rose quartz instead of pink coral, or sodalite instead of blue sapphire, gives access to a similar planetary frequency at a fraction of the cost. The healing tradition has accepted these substitutions for centuries.

Choosing your ratna or alternative

Strengthen the planets that are auspicious in your chart. Soften the planets that are difficult. Without a birth chart, the safest universal choice is clear quartz (Shukra) or amethyst (Brihaspati). With a birth chart, consult a Jyotishi for specifics — wearing the wrong planetary gem can amplify difficulties.
